About Ban Suk
A practice built on care,
not just legal expertise
We opened our doors in Chiang Mai because we believed families deserved legal support that felt human — steady, clear, and never rushed.
← Back to HomeHow Ban Suk came to be
Ban Suk — which means "house of peace" in Thai — was established in Chiang Mai by a small group of family law practitioners who had grown frustrated with the distance they often saw between legal offices and the people those offices were supposed to serve. Too often, families arrived at appointments already anxious and left feeling more confused than when they walked in.
We set out to do things differently. From our first days on Thanon Tha Phae, our goal was simple: speak plainly, listen properly, and help families understand their choices before they commit to any path. That philosophy has guided every consultation we have had since.
Over the years, we have supported families through some of the more demanding moments a household can face — decisions about children's care, complex negotiations between separated parents, and matters that required patience and persistence across multiple stages. We approach each situation with the same calm attention, whether the matter resolves quickly or takes time to work through.
Our office is a place where you can speak freely. We do not judge the circumstances that have brought you here, and we do not assume we already know what you need. We ask, we listen, and then we explain your options in terms you can act on.
What guides our work
Calm Presence
We bring steadiness to situations that can feel unsettling. Our role is to reduce pressure, not add to it.
Respect for All
Every person who walks through our door is treated with dignity, whatever their situation or background.
Full Transparency
We explain fees, timelines, and likely outcomes plainly before any work begins. No surprises.

Family legal support in Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai families facing legal decisions about parenting, separation, or other household matters benefit from working with a practice that understands the local legal landscape and the cultural context in which those decisions are made. Ban Suk brings together both.
Our advisors have direct experience navigating Chiang Mai Family Court and working with mediators familiar with the northern Thailand legal community. We understand how these processes move, what documents are typically required, and how to prepare families for each stage in a way that minimises unnecessary strain.
Whether a family is at the beginning of a difficult conversation or well into a formal process, our role is to keep things as clear and manageable as we can. We do not use legal complexity as a reason to keep you in the dark — we use it as a reason to explain things even more carefully.
Ban Suk serves families across Chiang Mai and the surrounding area. Consultations are available in person at our office on Thanon Tha Phae. We work with Thai-speaking and English-speaking clients.
